Your Human Operating System

Did you realize that, just like your computer, you have an "operating system" built into you?

As you may already know, one of my favourite metaphors is the "Human Operating System" (HOS), also known as the nervous system. I often talk about this in my presentations and classes and, of course, I describe it in more detail in my book Awaken Your Inner Leader.

When I talk about the HOS, one of the first questions I get from people is: "Okay, I get it. But how do I know there is something 'off' with my system?" My hunch is, you may be asking the same question.

Well, in the next few blog posts, I will touch on the main signs that may suggest that something could be stuck in your HOS. You can continue reading or watch this blog post on video.

You may be experiencing sleep issues: either difficulties falling asleep or waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to fall back asleep. Or, you may not feel rested in the morning even if you slept long enough, or you my even feel fatigued on a regular basis.

You may be experiencing digestive issues: constipation, diarrhea, heaviness, irritable bowel syndrome, etc. We will get to emotional eating later on.

You may not be healing as easily from common illnesses or injuries and have recurring symptoms. You may be dealing with an auto-immune illness or a chronic illness.

You may notice a lack of clarity or reduced focus. You may even experience "brain-fog" or you may be slipping into frequent day-dreams. Alternatively, you may experience irritability and fidgetiness.

Do you recognize any of these signs? Please let me know and let's start the dialogue.

Stay tuned for my next posts diving further into the tell-tale signs that something may be off.

And remember, how you show up in life impacts all those around you; especially the ones you care about the most.

With love,
