Improvement vs transformation

You are creative, ambitious and have a vision.

You want to be aligned with your goals and allow your passion and purpose to lead the way.

At the same time, you realize that you need to be resilient and withstand the pressures that inevitably arise along the way.

You may be contemplating what's the best way to invest in yourself because it's clear to you that YOU are your greatest asset.

So, you may be asking yourself: what’s the difference between making small improvements and a deep personal transformation?

This is a question that I have reflected on a lot myself.

One of the best ways I can offer my take on this is by using a metaphor of a spiral staircase. Life’s journey has often been compared to a spiral staircase. Additionally, it’s a great visual; just imagine yourself standing on a spiral staircase right now.

When you make small improvements – i.e. read self-help books, attend workshops here and there, watch inspirational videos, etc., you can make valuable incremental steps and move up one or two steps up on your metaphorical staircase…while still remaining on the same level or floor.

A deep personal transformation, on the other hand, is like gaining access to the next floor on the spiral staircase. This move gives you an entirely new view of the world around you, while at the same time it offers a continuum of the spiral staircase, as you now see the next level closer to you.

It’s up to you to decide which option is the right answer for you at this time.

Do you want to take one step here and there on your existing level of the spiral staircase?

Or will you choose a deep personal transformation that allows you to have a completely different view of yourself and the world around you, and help you explore the future version of yourself that you may have not even conceived of yet?

Without going deep enough, it’s very difficult to see what is possible.

Most importantly, keep moving forward.
