Train your brain for success

Are you training your brain for success?

Let’s remember that biologically, our brains were not designed to chase future success and build companies.

However, creating our future identity capital to achieve our goals includes training ourselves to feel successful…and ultimately believe in our success.

So how do we do that?

In these two bite-size inner power moment videos, I am offering you a couple of ideas to consider when in the process of rewiring your brain for success.

1. Focusing on the completion of specific activities that are aligned with your final goal.

Why? You have full command over the tasks and activities related to your DESIRE and less control over the RESULTS.

2. Practicing rewarding yourself for your effort vs. focusing mainly on the final goal being celebration-worthy.

Imagine how you would perceive your reality when you focus on your effort and reward your effort.

By the way, this is actually one of the “not so secrets” of high-performers.

And remember that the power of accountability is enormous. According to the American Institute of Training and Development, our chances of success increase to 95 percent when we are accountable to one person and build in ongoing meetings to check in on progress.

Additionally, you get to also nurture the “success coding” in your brain.

Because where ever our focus goes, we expand that area.

Way too often, we focus on what we don’t have or what we didn’t get…instead of focusing on what we succeeded in.

And one more thing. When you are inside the box, you cannot see the label on the outside of the box.

If this is an area where you feel you have some work to do, give yourself the permission to break your old patterns.

So my question for you is: what steps are you willing to take to train your brain for success?

Take time to reflect.
