To know yourself

To know yourself is to be free.

According to Intuit Canada, by 2020, 45% of the Canadian workforce will be self-employed. The drive for unique self-expression, freedom, and creativity has never been higher; not to mention that the corporate job security previously taken for granted simply doesn’t exist anymore.

So if you are an entrepreneur, I believe you have courage, determination, and the willingness to explore the unknown, stepping onto the path of uncertainty. You are an AGENT OF CHANGE.

This path is a hero’s journey and you my friend, are a hero. In order to truly unleash your superpowers, I have a few words of wisdom for you:

GET TO KNOW YOURSELF.

Now you may be thinking: “Thanks, but I’m good. I already know what I like, what I dislike, my strengths and weaknesses, bad habits, etc.”

But there is more to KNOWING YOURSELF.

First, there is knowing WHO YOU ARE and second, knowing WHO YOU CAN BECOME. I want you to pause on this for a while. Really knowing yourself can bring you an incredible sense of FREEDOM.

When you commit to getting to know yourself, you will become intimate with your:

  • Thoughts beneath your thoughts; your hidden beliefs
  • Deepest feelings and desires
  • Patterns
  • Stress cycles
  • Your gut feeling’s voice
  • Body as a powerful compass
  • Ability to create more impactful communication and relationships

...and the list goes on.

Self-discovery is about self-awareness and keen observation of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations. Ironically enough, self-knowledge is exponentially magnified in the presence of another human being who is able to support your self-observation, and identify opportunities to interrupt patterns.
